International 2 Day Electric Flight Event

If you did not come to last years event, you miss a great weekend!

This year’s event will commemorate Colonel H. J. Taplin world’s first officially recorded R/C electric model flight on the 30th June 1957. He used his seven year old R/C Radio Queen prototype.
Motive power was from a 24v government surplus Emerson motor & 25 silver/zinc cells
On the Sunday it is hoped to hold competition for the Exide & Drydex trophy for the best flown electric powered Radio Queen
This beats Fred Militky of Graupner fame, who first achieved a successful flight with a F/F model in October 1957

There will be a Pilots only Raffle on the Sunday
